My family and I were up there visiting my sister's family this weekend and caught a nice fireworks display Saturday evening. My Wife really wanted to go to the fish fry, but we decided to head back South. Fried is much better the boiled! Hope you had a good time.

Yeah, you’re probably right pk maybe it was just an illusion. Glad you got good service from First Gear. I've had their high-vis Kilimanjaro for a year and have no complaints about the jacket yet.

I purchase a pair of Tour Master Venture-A pants at BOB's Cycle Supply 5 months ago and one of the leg zippers blew out. Thinking I'd have to eat this one since most stores honor 90-day returns at best. . .I brought them in anyway to see if they'd work with me. To my surprise, the initial reply was "Give him another one off the self". I was pleasantly stunned, but they didn't have any left. Well the clerk said, "We can get them repaired under 'warranty'". Two days later I picked up my pants and the quality of work was flawless. I don't think you'd get this kind of service from Amazon.com It feels weird not taking it in the shorts for a change.

Welcome, and nice bike. Got my Concours 2012 late last season. She's a bit on the heavy side, but for 2-up, it's hard to beat. You're going to enjoy those heated grips this fall

Welcome and nice ride. I hope I'll be swinging through your area this summer to visit the hometown...Bayfield, might have to detour to see your local haunts.

General Banter / Re: When you ride .....« on: January 26, 2013, 12:29:28 PM »The picture I posted in the original post is biased in favor of the right brain. This graphic is a little less so. Hmmm, the "left brain" looks a tad bigger! I knew it! 12

General Banter / Re: Truck Ramp« on: December 06, 2012, 10:00:02 PM »
Thanks Rocket. I got this reply from the zggtr.org. . .it looks like it has a lower angle of attach, but a bit more expensive ($300) . . .
http://www.discountramps.com/black-widow-motorcycle-ramp.htm Both yours and the discount ramps are bifold, but yours is a lateral bifold and it looks like it makes for easier storage. If I can clear the tailgate w/o bottoming out my C14, I'm sold. Much appreciated. Bill 14
General Banter / Truck Ramp« on: December 06, 2012, 08:55:10 PM »
I threw this on the ZGGTR.org forum, but I thought I'd query the locals too. . .
. . .I have a perfectly good aluminum low rider trailer/ramp combo, but I'd like to get the bike in the back of the truck. I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive ramp system that won't put me on a ramen noodle diet for the next three years. . . and yeah I know. . ."why not ride it instead of haul it". . .my bride is great on the back, but if it rains or gets too cold, mama ain't happy and 'course if she ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!
