I rode home on Pioneer Trail today, with the idea of taking one last run through the 15 mph curve at Halla Nursery and the downhill blind curves on 101.  Too late!  The road is closed and it's already been dug up.

Yeah, I saw this article today.  Can you say "cheese slicer"?  I had that thought when they first went up.  I question their notion of "no fatalities" with this new setup.  Keep the rubber side down...

Back in the day 101 was very twisty all the way to Elk River, with few passing zones where WOT was mandatory.  But there has been a steady re-engineering of the road to straight, four-lanes with stop lights and low speed limits.  I believe the last twisty bit from Pioneer Trail down to the river is likely to be "re-aligned" this year as part of the new 101 river crossing and roundabout.

I also live in Shakopee, so if you want to go for a ride sometime, let me know...

Well I have an '88 Ducati Paso, and some bevel-drive Ducatis that were daily riders back in the day.  Now that I have the time, I'm working on restoring them.  Most of my newer bikes are dirt or dual sports.  My everyday street ride is a '07 1250 Bandit.

Greetings,

Being recently retired, I find I haven't been riding as much as when I commuted to work every day, so I decided to look into groups with more opportunities to go places on the bike.  The MN-MSTA seemed like a good fit for the type of road riding I do...
