I've always wanted to do this. It's been going on for many years. Unfortunately my two
comfortable bikes are still recovering from crash damage so I'm out. Go for it if you have
the inclination, it should be fun.

Tony!  2 bikes in recovery?  I've been out of the loop so you'll have to catch me up sometime.  Going to 1st Thurs?

I should be at 1st Thursday.

It's been a bad year for my bikes. The 07 Kawi got blown over by the wind while parked. I got it repaired. I crashed it in Arkansas and it is rideable but needs some work and is waiting on some parts.
A deer took out my 09 Kawi a couple weeks ago. The radiator was smashed back into the fan and leaks. A cooling hose was crimped. The bike overheats badly and is unrideable.
That is 3 crashes and the season is barely into July. Oh, I still have the Ducati but I have trouble riding it because I don't have much strength in my left ankle. It takes more muscle to shift gears on a Ducati.
After so many close calls with dear one of those buggers finally got me.
Hopefully my luck will change.

You certainly deserve it!

(You are right about shifting a Ducati.  It takes a firm foot. )

yeah, not too much info there, but i see it says 9am-10pm, route obtained the day of, looks like a ferry ride might be involved...  probably a pretty flexible setup, i'd bring a good map of most of that area.  wonder how many riders they get, looks like fun!

Highly recommended.  I've done it the last several years, and am aware of at least a dozen or so guys from mpls that are doing the run.

Route sheets are available at 8:00 at the Fuel, roll when the church bell rings at 9.

It's always an excellent route (changes every year).  Small roads and no leg lengths on the route sheet mean a good map is your friend.  (I like the Universal Map series of three for WI)

Go! Go! Go!

I love those maps.  Do you know they are out of print?   I bought every copy I could find of the Central WI map a couple years ago and plan to use each one until it is unfit to use as Kleenex.   I asked Universal what the minimum reprint run is and they said 1,000!

They really are great maps; that explains why they're kinda hard to find.  I found a new central this spring, and was hoping to find a new south on the way to milwaukee tomorrow.  I guess I'll be making a Kinko's run this afternoon to make some copies rather than (re-)marking up the ones I have....

I asked Universal what the minimum reprint run is and they said 1,000!

1,000 isn't that big of an order for a Holiday or Kwik-Trip sized chain...anyone know someone at one of those?
