Radar Detectors

Greetings!
I have ran a Valentine 1 radar on my bikes for years..... it has finally died... due to the vibrations/weather use over the last years. I am going to order up a new one.. but then thought maybe I would switch to using Escort! Anyone have thoughts? The new updated V1 seems promising... and I am going to combat the vibrations with some anti vibration padding which I will mount.... I run a stem mount on my supersport and just a bar mount on my other bikes with the HARD helmet display..
I also am thinking of switching to the Marc Paynes? Visual alert?
What is everyone else using!?

I'm usually going to fast for them to come after me. If I am going slow enough for them I will stop. Then I talk my way out of it. I have an escort sitting on the shelve. Been there for years and I just never use it. And even if my eyes are not as good as a decade ago. I see those guys right away and get slowed down most of the time.

I have an escort myself. Seems pointless in the cities due to everything that operates in the radar frequency range, it has some phenomenal detection, but without the network/gps false positive pieces it's constantly going off. It doesn't help that wifi devices can now operate in those frequency ranges as well so long as they don't cause interference making detectors even less effective in urban areas.
Now in the rural stretches of Iowa when I'm trying to set a new record getting back to St. Louis, that's where it's nice to sniff them out miles in advance.

Yeah.. I normally use them for traveling... back roads don't see many officers. I just ordered up a new V1.
