New to MSTA, but was on MNSBR as G35
« on: June 02, 2011, 10:51:36 AM »
Just posting up a informal introduction.  Have been on MNSBR since 04' as G35, just back into riding (well I hope so) since a injury has kept me out of riding for 3.5 years, long but short story.......ask if you care....

Was on quite a few Greg rides, and some MNSTA Yahoo group rides, Rockton BBQ, Slimey Crud, etc.

So got another bike and I'm back hopefully.

See ya soon, maybe putting something together for Sat. 06/04
 Miles

Good to see you again, Miles! It's been 3.5 years? Yikes, time flies.....

Greg
These people have taught me more about riding than any day spent on a track: Larry B, Tony K, Vince J, Mr. Wonderful, V2Neal, Marty F, Kevin B, Devon W, Ehrich, Mike A, John L, Arnell, Kirk, Ray C

Track days are like climbing the rock wall at REI.
Perhaps I need to stop taking the high road.

Heya Miles, nice to have you on this forum!  Hope to see you on a ride soon!

Those who have actually NEVER tried riding the track could learn a thing or 10 about being a better streetrider; because let's be honest; none of us (Greg) are as great as we think we are. LMAO!

Welcome!

Excellent taste in bikes.  I loved my 999 (also a 2005).  All I have left are a few of the nice mods (such as a Sargent seat) that I have yet to part with. :(

Did 230 miles on Sat.  Started in Prescott and ended up hitting 60 west out of Nelson all the way to Cannon Falls.  That road is awesome, I forgot how much I liked it.

I found out I'm not as fast as I used to be in the twisties though or maybe it was riding alone, not to safe.  If you go down the chances of someone finding you are pretty slim.  A hunter and stumble over a helmet or some boots in the fall.

Need a new tires now, got home and about dropped my beer when I saw how much metal was showing, about an inch wide all the way around, that is as bad as I have ever seen on a rear.

Good thing you did not drop it, we would have had to kick you out :)

If you have not done so already check out Lloyd's[link] for tires. His prices are very good and he has a lot of tires in stock or can get most of them in a day or two and he will put them on while you wait.
