Post 76 "MOTORCYCLE IN REST AREA LOST CONTROL AND TIPPED OVER"

My guess would be fatigue.  If that is the case, they should have stopped earlier and stretched their legs.

Sounds like a strange incident, and mine is just a guess.  Could have been that someone or a kid or dog darted in front of the bike and spooked the rider.

I read these in the hopes that I can think of what I would do in that situation as a rider to avoid the crash.  Of course, sometimes, stuff just happens.

Brakes and avoidance work.  Deliberately putting the bike on its side is stupid.

Of course, IMO.

At least most were not seriously hurt, but it is really sad there is a serious injury.

The mix of sportbikes and cruisers make me wonder if the cruisers were slowing at the ramp while the sportbikes were speeding up.  Although there isn't information to say if there was contact.

Note that I updated the report of the four bikes "tipped over" on the entrance ramp.  None of the 8 riders were wearing a helmet.  The girl in critical condition was a passenger.

I'm not seeing where the report mentions what types of bikes were involved.
