Not super anel  about detailing, but like my bike to look OK. For the plastic and windshield what are you guys using? My can of plexus is low and thought I would ask.
(Other tips would be great related to quick and easy cleaning)

I find the asphalt works good, but it hard on the bike ....

I use pledge, and soap and water I also have some other cleaner (cant remember the name, bought it from a pretty girl at a gas station, boy did they do there marketing right)

I save the Plexus for my helmet visor. I use the formerly labeled "Honda Polish" for the body panels and wheels. The manufacturer had to stop using the "Honda" brand name, but it's the same product.

I use this stuff. Spray it on, wait a few minutes and then wipe off. Bugs, dirt and grease come off clean...
Got it at HP and I think they call it "Hondo Wax"...

I use different products for different materials and seldom use plexus or the Honda cleaner (still have 2 cans left of each).   I usually use a spray simple orange foaming cleaner to lift the dirt (I buy that by the case) and then a Meguires or Griot's Garage item to enhance the luster.   On road trips I only ever use a very old product to clean the bike, not sure of the actual product name, but I know it as "rain".

I also use the previously known as Honda polish stuff.  It's about $6 a can and lasts quite a few cleanings.

It's good but it helps to have a second microfiber on hand when using it as it tends to get kinda sticky on the paint after the first cloth gets damp from it. 

When the bike is really buggy after a good long ride nothing replaces a hot water soaked rag and soap.  Then use the Honda stuff afterwards.

My big issue is my wheels are constantly dirty/dusty and they have no intention of staying clean no matter how often I wipe them down.

You might find a better price by the case somewhere else.  This is the real toxic stinky stuff that some of us became addicted to for the 15 years Honda sold it.  I always like the uniform spray pattern and ability to uniformly coat surfaces.  The reformulated stuff Honda sells now sort of spits out of the can in clumps and is hard to wipe evenly across surfaces.  Honda claims they had to reformulate to meet requirements overseas.  Whatever, this is the "Original" stuff.  I have heard more than one person say the Original is a very close knockoff of Pledge dust spray.

i soap and water once a week after my Sunday long rides. this should help for a quick wipe in between.

S-100... spray it on and everything just melts away.  Bugs, tar,grease,dirt,chain lube.   Just make sure to rinse with lots of water.

S-100 is great stuff, but try to avoid overspraying on the tires and rinse the tires especially well.  That stuff is like snot and is no fun on the tires.

I use S100 all the time and for many years now and have not had any trouble with tires.
