I like to start in Carver and ride Hwy 40 down thru East Union to the intersection of State Hwy 25. Continue straight. Hwy 40 becomes Hwy 6. Ride by the gravel pit and take a left onto Hwy 5. Cross river into Blakely. There are 2 short twisty roads out of Blakely if you go straight or right. Another option is
to stay on Hwy 6 all the way to Henderson. Great hand dipped malts/shakes at Toodys Sweet Treats on the corner. Proceed straight on Hwy 93 (?) to
Hwy 169. Get off first exit and cross bridge into Le Seur. Follow signs for Scenic Byway/River Road and it will take you to St. Peter. MN River Valley
roads are not super twisty but if you don't have time to get to WI they can be a fun alternative. On weekends with good weather you will see many bikes
on Hwy 40 and in downtown Henderson.
