Major Forum Upgrade Last Night (6/16/11)
« on: June 16, 2011, 08:57:55 AM »
I did a major forum software upgrade overnight and completed it this morning. I'm having some problems re-installing the forum add-ons so some features maybe missing but the forum seems to be working ok.

If anyone has any problems with the forum, please PM me, so I can check them out.

hummmm, not sure I like it.

In firefox there is a scroll bar at the bottom no matter how big I make the screen, the quick post field seems to be the cause of this.

Yes, there is some kind of formatting issue. I believe this is related to and add on which I have not been able to reinstall for some reason.

The primary driver for the "upgrade" is security related. Development on the previous branch of software the forum software we were running on has been capped, so this is the future with respect to the forum software we use.

Looks like the forum theme wasn't compatible with the latest release. Time to shop for a new forum theme....

Mine looks OK as well.
These people have taught me more about riding than any day spent on a track: Larry B, Tony K, Vince J, Mr. Wonderful, V2Neal, Marty F, Kevin B, Devon W, Ehrich, Mike A, John L, Arnell, Kirk, Ray C

Track days are like climbing the rock wall at REI.
Perhaps I need to stop taking the high road.

the issue was with the old theme, Ray removed that and the scroll bars went away.

So I've been playing a bit and have enabled a feature which lets everyone decide how they prefer the forum to look. If you go into your profile page and look under account settings there is a link to "Look and Layout Preferences". If you click on this link, you can choose between 3 different looks. An orange look (default), a black and grey look and a light blue look.

Have fun folks!

I think it looks good, and I've not had any problems with it regarding appearance/formatting inside the browser window.
