SKIS!!??
« on: October 16, 2011, 06:51:11 PM »
The 2 wheel season is about done. Are there any other winter lovers out there that occasionally strap the strips of plastic to their feet and glide through the woods? I generally go to Elk River ,Sherburne Wildlife Refuge,or various Wright County parks.  I haven't crashed a bike since '85 but fall down regularly on my skis. Guzzi John ::)

I do. Although the last outing this spring, the dogs wrecked my skis. When you ski with dogs, they don't see the back of your skis under the snow, so they step on them all the time. Not only can this scratch your skis over time, it can cause you to lose your balance and wreck stuff. I also snowshoe a lot, it's good exercise.

My skis tend to have engines that push them along quite nicely.
My secret to a happy marriage? Get in enough trouble to be sent to the garage.
