Rider Perception Test

I found an interesting rider perception test on another forum. It's harder than I thought it would be, even at medium speed. The road sign test is a bit lame but  the collision trap test is pretty good. I did not get a perfect score.

We got the opportunity to do these perception tests at the MMSC's Motorcycle Safety Conference this spring in Pat Hahn's See and Be Seen seminar, and they were trickier than I thought they would be.  It's definitely worth the time to try them.

It is a good test to get me thinking of the hazards I'll (we'll) face this year.

I got 20/20 on the signs and 17/20 on the collision test.  Both were at medium speed.  Interesting test though!!

20/20 on collision traps and 18/20 on signs, missed the very first one.

For me, the key is constant survelance- and accurately recognizing the situation, no target fixation. I do the same thing driving a cage.....quick eyes.

Very true....since I started riding I drive my car differently and in most cases more cautiously.  I know I am much more observant in the car now than I ever was before I started riding motorcycles.
