Hanes Boxer-Briefs My pants are Vanson's with a mix of textile & leather. Leather in the important "contact-points" if you crash, but breathable textile in the not-so-important areas. 423

No. They were comfortable up to 80º for me. I wore them yesterday on Chris's ride and I had to switch to my warm weather gloves at midday. Greg 424

100% ban on cell phone use while driving, and that includes "hands-free" devices. Every study I've seen concludes that even hands-free cell phone usage impairs a driver as much as alcohol impairment.

Great write up by Darcy Holter in the most recent edition of the MSTA STAReview! Tony Kellen, Roger Reis, Paul Kobo and Ray Kang are also mentioned and their smiling mugs (sans Tony as he's got his helmet on, lol) can be seen gracing the pages as well.
There also is an excellent article that is a must read IMO on page 16. In a nut shell the article talks about how all of us ride the exact way we like to ride, and then therefore by default ..... our way is the best and all others are suicidal maniacs. Keen insight into thinking before judging others riding styles. Greg 428

I'm probably not the demographic the ad is targeting. I find it mildly interesting as I love good illusionists, but it's also pretty gross.

General Banter / Re: Why are they not wearing gloves???« on: June 09, 2010, 11:35:48 AM »
Back on topic:
I gotta imagine that if I see someone riding without gloves it means they are either on the bike for their very first season or they hardly ever ride. The one or 2 times Ive ridden without gloves (early in my riding career) I discovered that at least for comfort it's better to have some sort of gloves on. Pebbles thrown up from the road hurt the fingers! 435

Tony,
I'm relieved to hear your prognosis is good and you're expected to recover. Your consistent positive attitude and joyful personality is needed by all of your friends. God bless, Greg |
